Road Roller Training
Objective:
To provide training on the safe operation and maintenance of Road rollers, focusing on compaction techniques and site safety.
Key Components:
Introduction to Road Rollers: Types, uses, and basic parts.
Safety Practices: PPE, safe driving practices, and awareness of site hazards.
Pre-Operational Checks: Inspection of rollers, fluid levels, and safety systems.
Operational Techniques: Starting, stopping, manoeuvring, compaction methods, and surface finishing.
Maintenance Routines: Regular maintenance tasks and identifying and fixing common issues.
Practical Training: Hands-on practice with a focus on real-world compaction scenarios.
Duration:
Renewals: 1-day refresher and test (£220)
Beginners: 2-days, including training and test (£440). A maximum of 3 persons
Certification:
Participants receive operator certification through The Association of Industrial Truck Trainers (AITT) or City & Guilds. Where City & Guilds is used for training and assessment, this can count towards the NVQ process.
Training Location:
On customer site/premises.
