Forklift Training (all types of forklifts)
Objective:
To equip operators with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate forklifts or telescopic handlers (telehandlers).
Key Components:
Introduction to Forklifts and Telescopic Handlers: Overview, applications, and key components.
Safety Standards: PPE, stability principles, load charts, and site safety.
Pre-Operational Inspections: Checking tyres, hydraulics, attachments, and safety devices.
Operational Skills: Controls, lifting, extending, retracting, and manoeuvring with loads.
Maintenance Practices: Routine maintenance tasks and addressing common issues.
Practical Training: Hands-on operation and practical scenarios.
Duration:
Renewals: 1-day refresher and test (£210)
Beginners: 3-days, including training and test (£630)
Certification:
Participants receive operator certification through The Association of Industrial Truck Trainers (AITT) or City & Guilds. Where City & Guilds is used for training and assessment, this can count towards the NVQ process.
Training Location:
On customer site/premises.
