Dumper Truck Training
Objective:
To train individuals on the safety and maintenance of dumper trucks, focusing on-site safety and efficient material handling.
Key Components:
Introduction to Dumper Trucks: Types, uses, and basic components.
Safety Requirements: PPE, safe driving practices, and site-specific safety considerations.
Pre-Operational Checks: Inspections of tyres, brakes, hydraulic systems, and lights.
Operating Skills: Starting, stopping, manoeuvring, loading, and unloading techniques.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Routine checks, maintenance schedules, and addressing common problems.
Practical Training: Supervised operation in a controlled environment.
Duration:
Renewals: 1-day refresher and test (£225)
Beginners: 3-days, including training and test (£675). A maximum of 3 persons.
Certification:
Participants receive operator certification through The Association of Industrial Truck Trainers (AITT) or City & Guilds. Where City & Guilds is used for training and assessment, this can count towards the NVQ process.
Training Location:
On customer site/premises.
